TiVo Genie makes your holiday TV wishes come true
Schedule TV programs without being home - a new FREE service launched just in time for Australian holiday makers.
Sydney, Australia, 17 December, 2009 - Hybrid Television Services (ANZ) Pty Limited, the exclusive licensee of TiVo® products in Australia and New Zealand, creators of the recently launched CASPA™ On-Demand portal, today announced the launch of a new service: 'TiVo® Genie'.
The new service liberates TiVo users across Australia providing customers with the ability to set TV recordings from internet-connected devices such as a PC/Mac computer, iPhone, iPod touch, BlackBerry or mobile phone.
TiVo users on the beach or even on an overseas holiday are now able to remotely schedule Season Pass recordings and record their favourite TV shows, news or sporting events like the Australian Open Tennis on Seven.
The TiVo Genie service was designed and created by Hybrid TV for its Australian and New Zealand customers. Customers simply log in to their TiVo account at www.mytivo.com.au from their computer to access online scheduling or for mobile access go to http://m.mytivo.com.au on their BlackBerry, iPhone or mobile phone.
A web-based service, TiVo Genie provides immediate access and command of recordings across a 7-day TV guide sending the request directly to the TiVo located in the user's home. This new FREE service is available to all TiVo customers: both existing and new. The ability to set recordings on the go, both inside and outside the home is yet another tangible benefit to owning Australia's leading HD DVR.
