Hybrid TV introduces sleeker, smarter remote for the TiVo media device
The new intelligent TiVo Glo Remote has improved design and unique learning capability
Sydney, Australia, 15 April, 2010 - Hybrid Television Services (ANZ) Pty Ltd, the exclusive licensee of TiVo® products in Australia and New Zealand and creator of CASPATM On-Demand, today announced the release of its new Glo Remote for the TiVo media device. The remote has a new sleek design, low-light detection backlit keys and unique remote-to-remote learning capabilities to enable control of sound, input and power to the TV.
The Glo Remote is a peripheral upgrade available for the TiVo media device and it is perfect for those looking for a groovy and fashionable 'peanut' remote control. The Glo Remote also features sensor controlled low-light detection backlit keys. When the room light is dimmed the remote automatically lights-up for easy use in a darkened room.
The remote that is included with the TiVo device requires code-linking to marry the TV to the TiVo enabling audio control, power and input functionality. Some older TVs do not sync - but the Glo Remote can overcome the problem by synching to the television's remote and learning its behaviour.
Robbee Minicola, CEO of Hybrid TV commented; "The TiVo media device and CASPA On-Demand has always given customers ultimate control over their entertainment. The TiVo Glo Remote is more than just a sexier remote control - it easily synchs with old and new TVs giving more power to the peanut!"
Other subtle changes include a sleeker, silver trimmed design and a larger play button that now features in the centre of the directional pad.
The TiVo Glo Remote retails for AU$49.95 plus delivery and is only available online (www.mytivo.com.au).
