Hybrid TV and Disney.Pixar deliver a 3D first into Australian TiVo homes
Sydney, Australia, 11 June, 2010 - Hybrid Television Services (ANZ) Pty Limited, the creator of CASPA™ On-Demand and the licensee of TiVo® products in Australia and New Zealand and Disney.Pixar are delighted to announce that TiVo customers who own a 3D television will be the first in Australia to enjoy a sample of 3D content delivered over broadband to the TV via CASPA.
From today, CASPA On-Demand now includes 3D content starting with trailers of three major 3D cinematic releases courtesy of Walt Disney Motion Picture Studios; Toy Story 3, Tron Legacy and Tangled. In coming months, the CASPA 3D offering will grow to include 3D short films, animations and documentaries, with full feature 3D films available from December.
"We are ecstatic to be providing the first 3D video on-demand content over CASPA to our Australian TiVo customers. We are extremely proud that our very first offering is an eye-popping trailer for Disney.Pixar's highly anticipated Toy Story 3.
"This inaugural 3D content on CASPA represents a significant change in entertainment delivered over broadband to the television. Today 3D content, tomorrow HD content and full surround sound. Now there is every reason to address your broadband plan and get your TV 'to infinity, and beyond[1]' with CASPA." said Robbee Minicola, Chief Executive of Hybrid TV.
TiVo customers can access this 3D content from TiVo Central > CASPA On-Demand > Movies > 3D Fun.
TOY STORY 3 releases in cinemas on 24 June 2010.
