Streaming music and photos
Play your music and photos on the system they were meant for: the entertainment system!..
Available as part of the Home Networking Package for both Mac and PC users, TiVo Desktop enables streaming photos and music straight from your computer to your TiVo. You can listen to your favourite tunes over the best sound system in the house by simply selecting which music folders you want published to your TiVo media device. Go to Music, Photos, & Showcases on your TiVo media device and scroll to Music on [Your PC or Mac]. Use the Play, RW, FF, Skip, and numerical buttons to navigate and play your music files through your TiVo.
Please note: any digital rights management protected content, such as AAC files or music purchased on iTunes, will not play on your TiVo media device.
Streaming photos works in much the same way, where you can direct TiVo Desktop to the folders of photos you would like published to your TiVo media device. Then navigate to Music, Photos, & Showcases from TiVo Central and scroll down to Photos on [Your PC or Mac]. Set up slide shows with a variety of display options, navigate using the FF and RW buttons on your remote, even rotate pictures individually!
Streaming of music and photos requires absolutely zero percent of your TiVo media device's memory as your TiVo is reading the information straight from your computer.
