TiVo is Digital TV
TiVo is Digital Ready and Freeview Compliant

Freeview™ is an organisation comprising Australia’s free-to-air television broadcasters (ABC, SBS, Seven, Nine, Ten, WIN, Prime and Southern Cross) and was formed to assist in the promotion of free to air digital television in Australia.
From 2010, the analogue TV signal will begin to be switched over to digital across Australia, and Freeview’s aim is to encourage Australians to move to digital TV before analogue switch-off completes in 2013 (at which time every television in every home will need to switch over to digital in order to keep receiving free to air television). Compared to analogue, digital TV provides better pictures and better sound for a superior viewing experience.
In order to access the existing and new free to air digital channels viewers will need a high-definition digital set-top-box or integrated digital television. The TiVo media device is Freeview compliant and already receives the digital free to air channels that are available today, removing the need for an additional set-top-box. This is because the TiVo media device has built in digital tuners (or in other words, incorporates a digital set top box). This means that as more free to air digital channels launch in the future, TiVo customers will be able to receive them without needing to make any changes to their media device.
You’ll recognise the Freeview™ logo on TiVo media devices in retailers throughout Australia.
The FREEVIEW trademark is owned by FREEVIEW Australia Limited.
